A Story That Began with an Unexpected Meeting
Like every good story, ours began with an unexpected meeting. The day our paths crossed in November 2022, neither of us could have guessed how much our lives would change — or that Mi Casa Europa would be born from it.
Enis was living in the UK at the time, running a consultancy that helped Turkish companies enter the British market. He had founded Turkey's first e-learning platform, led customer relationship management projects for major companies, and brought more than 25 years of business development and technology experience with him. He'd found his own rhythm in the ordered, considered pace of UK life.
I had built a very different life in Istanbul. After 20 years leading media strategy for global brands and directing advertising campaigns for multinational companies, in 2019 I took a bold step and launched my own textile brand with my cousin. That was my entry into the world of entrepreneurship. My life was never just about work though. As a certified style consultant from Istanbul Fashion Academy, a competitive skier with several podium finishes in Italy and Turkey, I had also performed one-woman plays on stage and taken on roles in television.
Our chance encounter in late 2022 quickly turned into something special. Enis's love of Exeter's grey skies and its quietly ordered charm, and my dynamic pace of life in Istanbul, came together around a shared vision for the future. Within six months we were planning the wedding, and we married before the year was out. And of course, the joy of our family — our chocolate Labrador, Kafi — is a key part of this story too. He's not just a dog; he's the full-time happiness of our new life and the wider Mi Casa Europa family. The warm attention he gives our clients in our meetings reflects what our company is really about: genuine, warm and reassuring.
How Mi Casa Europa Was Born
Our story wasn't only about finding each other — it was about building something new together. Enis's experience in the UK and our shared interest in property pointed us towards a new venture. The UK's structured, reliable investment environment and Spain's warm culture and Mediterranean way of life gave us the chance to bring our professional expertise together with our personal dreams. That's how Mi Casa Europa was born — and it's more than just another property company.
Our company brings together our international business development and consulting experience with a deep understanding of marketing, communication and brand building. More importantly, it's built on our own journey of finding a home — not just a house — in a new country.
